We have 2 lovely chalets to offer, which are set in their own private woodland and overlook the stunning lake and forest beyond. 3 other similar chalets, which are empty for the majority of the year, and a small hotel restaurant make up the total of your neighbours in this secluded spot, yet you are only 4.5km from the town of Treignac and 200m from the beach.

This is an idyllic situation offering a tranquil, natural environment in which to base your holiday in the Correze. Perfect for holidays, short breaks and house-hunting trips.

The accommodation itself has two double/twin bedrooms. Bedding is supplied and you can choose between either a double or two single beds in each bedroom, depending upon your requirements.

An ensuite bathroom, including shower, wc and handbasin leads off from each bedroom to give you privacy even whilst sharing your chalet with friends or family. Please note that we do not supply towels, so kindly bring your own shower & beach towels.

Notes on Rental price

We accept 2 night minimum bookings from 1st September 07 onwards.During the high season, bookings are weekly.

Change over day/Arrival/Departures

Our usual changeover day is Saturday, but we are flexible. Arrivals late afternoon, departures by 11am.

Cleaning/Towels

Hand towels, bed linen & teacloth provided.

Please bring your own shower and beach towels.

Accommodation details

Bedrooms : The accommodation itself has two double/twin bedrooms. Bedding is supplied and you can choose between either a double or two single beds in each bedroom, depending upon your requirements.

Bathrooms : An ensuite bathroom, including shower, wc and handbasin leads off from each bedroom to give you privacy even whilst sharing your chalet with friends or family.
Kitchen : The kitchen/dining area provides for all your self-catering needs with a fridge, sink, mini oven, kettle and utensils supplied.

If you should require a washing machine, the campsite opposite the beach just 200m away has facilities for washing and drying clothes.
Living room : The living area has comfortable seating with a DVD player, CD player, books and games provided. A few DVDs are provided, but please bring your own as you may not like our taste!

Outside

The terrace at the front of each chalet, which overlooks the lake, is furnished with a patio table and chairs. Unfortunately barbecues are forbidden at the chalets due to their situation in the forest, but you are able to barbecue on the beach, only 200m away.

Accommodation notes

The chalets are set up on the hillside and parking is situated on the roadside below. The road runs between the lake and the chalets. A walk up a good few steps into the forest will lead you to your chalet. (Reasonable fitness required)

Local information

TREIGNAC - the local town and officially one of the most beautiful villages in France, is crossed by the River Vezere and lies at the foot of the Monedieres. There are some very good restaurants in the area, one of which is just near the chalets, overlooking the lake and there are several cafe-bars in Treignac which are very friendly and are super for just sitting, taking in the atmosphere and watching the world go by.

Golf

There are four golf courses within an hour's drive of Treignac, two of which have 18 holes and two 9 holes. They are open all year round.

Skiing

Cross-country skiing:

Bonnefond: Only 23km (less than 1/2 hour drive) from Treignac, the altitude is about 900m and there are 4 cross-country pistes of 3-11km.

Meymac: Just 42km (40 mins drive) from Treignac, the altitude is 976m and there are 4 cross-country pistes of 2-12kms.

Saint-Setiers: 44km (40 mins drive) from Treignac, the altitude is between 850m and 950m. There are 5 cross-country pistes of 3-20kms.

Booking Details

BOOKING TERMS & CONDITIONS

The chalets are available on a weekly basis with a 7 night minimum stay during the high season (July & Aug) from any available Saturday and a 2 night minimum stay during the rest of the year, unless otherwise agreed.

A 25% deposit is required to ensure your reservation.

Final payment is due 8 weeks before your arrival.

Cancellation charges

If you cancel more than 8 weeks prior to your reservation date you will forfeit your 25% deposit only.

If you cancel less than 8 weeks prior to your reservation date you will forfeit the full cost of the holiday.

If, for any reason, we have to cancel your reservation, we will refund any payments that you have already made to us.

We cannot be held responsible for any other costs that you may incur.

Please ensure that you take out adequate holiday insurance.
