Our rental apartment is a traditional alpine Savoyard style chalet built to the highest specifications by MGM with extensive use of wood and stone, enjoying wonderful uninterrupted views of the Grand Massif mountain range, forests, Les Carroz village and local ski slopes.
Situated in a quiet and peaceful location yet close to the village sporting amenities and activities including swimming pools, tennis courts and archery.

Les Carroz benefits from being only 55 km from Geneva Airport, allowing our guests quick and easy access to the beautiful sunny village and of course the excellent ski slopes. The Grand Massif boasts 265km of ski piste, combining both high altitude on and off piste skiing for those that like a challenge, with plenty of pretty tree lined blue and red runs meandering to restaurants and the Grand Massif villages of Samoens, Sixt, Morillon and Flaine.

Bedrooms : Bedroom 1 - Has a pine double bed with duvet and duvet cover, large pull out drawers underneath, fitted to the side of the bed are two pine wardrobes with five overhead cupboards.
Bedroom 2 - Has adult sized pine bunk beds with duvets and duvet cover plus two pine chests of drawers and an armchair.
Bathrooms : Has a bath with shower, a large vanity cupboard and heated towel rail.

Separate WC.
Kitchen : Well fitted and equipped with a dishwasher, fridge/freezer, full sized oven and four-ring halogen hob. The solid pine table seats 6 comfortably.
Living room : A well furnished and attractive living area. There are two three seater sofas, pine display and storage cabinet, pine coffee table, a 51cm TV connected to both French terrestial TV and satellite TV and a DVD player with an extensive DVD library.

Kitchen equipped with dishwasher, fridge/freezer, full sized oven and four-ring halogen hob.
TV and DVD in the lounge area.

Local information

Our apartment is set in the charming traditional alpine village of Les Carroz. It is a spacious, sunny family resort where life still revolves around the village square with its pavement cafes and interesting little shops. It has the lived in feel of a real alpine French village which remains open all year round.


Travel distances

Les Carroz is only 45 minutes from Geneva and 30 minutes from Chamonix. The beautiful town of Annecy with its wonderful lake, medieval houses and micro-climate is only 40 minutes away, which is a great place to visit.


Golf

Golf de Flaine, Les Carroz - at 1900m, the highest in the Haute Savoie
The setting of this course is what makes it worth the visit. You are at an altitude of 1900m -6,200 feet - with panoramic views of mountain peaks in all directions. More than anywhere else, Golf de Flaine gives you the sensation of playing golf on the top of a mountain.


Skiing

Les Carroz benefits from being just a telecabine ride to one of the most snow sure regions in the Alps, and is one of the 5 linked resorts that make up the Grand Massif (Flaine, Samoens, Morillon and Sixt being the other 4 resorts); there is an abundance of high quality skiing right on your doorstep with 265 km of pistes on offer making this area the 3rd largest resort in France and perfect for ski holidays in France.

During the ski season the free ski bus stops within 50 meters of the apartment.


Special interest

For mountain walking or mountain biking holidays you can discover 200 km of marked paths all over Les Carroz and the Grand Massif area, from gentle walks through alpine meadows and forests to challenging walks and climbs. The main long distance footpaths in the Grand Massif include the GR 96 and GR 5. The GR 96 can be accessed in Les Carroz, a short distance from the apartment.
Paragliding and mountain biking are popualr activities in the summer with goog paragliding schools; so too is horse riding.


Booking Details

The apartment is available from 4 pm, and should be vacated by 10am on day of departure.

To secure a booking we require a non-refundable deposit of 20% of the holiday cost in GBP or Euro equivalent. This may be in the form of a personal cheque. Within eight weeks of the start of your holiday we require the full rental, plus a returnable damage deposit of £200 in GBP or Euro equivalent, in the form of a bank cheque.

Should you wish to book the apartment, please check with us that the dates are available so that the booking can be held (up to 7 days) until we receive your deposit confirming the reservation.

If you cancel your booking once it has been confirmed by us we must be informed in writing. Where such notice in writing is received the following cancellation charges will apply:

More than 42 days from departure: 20% deposit. 42 days and less from departure: 100% total cost. In both cases the damage deposit of 200 pounds will be returned to the client.
