Sleeping up to 10 people, its spacious interior includes 5 bedrooms (two super king beds, two queen beds, two single beds and a portacot) and 3.5 bathrooms.

Decks on two sides, outdoor furniture , and a gas barbecue enable al fresco dining, overlooking the private native garden much of the year.

The large lounge is equipped with satellite TV, video, DVD/CD player. A computer with broadband internet and wireless LAN is also available for your use. A sunny conservatory, a family room next to the kitchen and a games room holding a full size snooker table mean there is plenty of space for everyone to enjoy.

Bedrooms : The spacious interior includes 5 bedrooms:

Waitemata Room: superking size bed; opens out onto a deck overlooking the garden
Hauraki Room: superking size bed; opens out onto a different deck which is also shared by the fourth bedroom
Rangitoto Room: two kingsingle beds
Tamaki Room: queen size bed; joined to its own private sitting area
Waiheke Room: queen size bed; located downstairs next to third living area
A portacot (and highchair) are also available on request
Bathrooms : There are 3.5 bathrooms: the master bedroom ensuite with a shower, toilet and basin; the main tiled bathroom fitted with a bath, a separate shower room, and a separate toilet room; and an ensuite toilet off the fourth bedroom. Downstairs is a shower room with a basin and a separate toilet.
Kitchen : The new modern kitchen overlooking the tree lined driveway is fully equipped with crockery, glasses, cutlery and cooking implements, an electric oven and hob, fridge and freezer, microwave and dishwasher.
Utility room : A full size laundry holds a washing machine, dryer and ironing board. There is also a full size washing line.
Dining room : The elegant dining room is located between the lounge, conservatory and kitchen. Guests can hold a formal party with quality serving ware, candlesticks and placemats.

Kohimarama Retreat is located down a long tree lined driveway, out of sight from the road. The large entrance courtyard has parking for many cars (as well as a triple garage). A beautiful native garden provides a peaceful sanctuary for relaxing away from busy city life.

Nearby Activities

As well as boating, the plentiful beaches of the City of Sails offer a multitude of water sports. In constrast with the calm city beaches of Kohimarama, Mission Bay and St Heliers, are the relatively untouched and delightfully isolated black sand, wild surf beaches of the West Coast. For a relaxing view of the harbour, there are plenty of ferry and scenic cruises operating to many of the 47 islands in the Hauraki Gulf.
