Luxury apartment in a splendid villa, one of the ancient summer residences of the Conti Bernardini of Lucca, built in the "Stile Impero Lucchese" at the beginning of the 19th century and set in a beautiful estate with vineyards, olive groves and magnificent gardens. Situated in the verdant Tuscan countryside and set in a most beautiful and tranquil location, the Villa is surrounded by the pine covered hillsides of Vorno and San Lorenzo. Built at the time of the Napoleonic empire and steeped in history, the estate has endured an interesting past. At the foot of the steps leading to the main entrance there is an antique marble bath said to have been used by Elisa, Napoleon Bonaparte's sister. During the Second World War the villa was first occupied by Herman Goering's division of the German army and then taken over by the Buffalo division of the US army. After the war it was returned to the original owners and has been lovingly cared for by the same family ever since.

There is a 500 Euro breakages deposit to pay to the owners on arrival which will be returned at the end of your stay.Air conditioning is charged at 180 Euro per week if used.Central heating is 150 Euro per week when necessary.
