Umbrian Hideaway lies deep in the heart of the Monti Santa Maria Tiberina countryside in the Upper Tiber Valley region of north west Umbria. Situated in a small hilltop hamlet surrounded by green and ancient woods, approached by a meandering white road from the valley below. This lovely restored stone cottage although attached by its attractive archway to the adjoining house, is private enough for that isolated holiday hideaway. Terracotta floors, original beams and shuttered windows, together with stunning views across the surrounding hills give it a true old world Italian feel.

Notes on Rental price

The self catering accommodation sleeps maximum of 4 people and includes bed linen with weekly maid service, electricity and gas and local taxes. Bookings can be made by phone or email, a non refundable deposit of 30% of the total property rental is required to confirm a booking with the balance to be paid no later than 10 weeks before your holiday start date. A refundable security deposit of 300 euros to be paid on arrival.

Clients must arrive between 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. Outside of these times access to the property can some times be arranged, but will depend on the house keeper.

Its beautiful stone terrace shaded by a grape vine covered pagoda is the ideal place for alfresco eating or just relaxing with that glass of local wine, or why not soak up the sun on the gentle grassy slopes of the terraced natural garden with its olive, cypress and fruit trees. As the property is situated in the countryside, you may see from time to time wild animals such as wild boar, hares, porcupine, lizards also many birds and butterflies.

The historic hilltop village of Monti Santa Maria Tiberina is only 15 minutes away, while Citt? di Castello, the nearest large town with all amenities, is about 25 minutes. The nearby Cesena-Rome E45 superstrada puts the attractions of Perugia, Assisi, Lake Trasimeno, Gubbio, Spello, Todi, and in neighbouring Tuscany, Sanseplocro, Caprese Michelangelo, Cortona, Arezzo, Siena and Florence

Anghiari

all within easy reach or take the train from Arezzo for a day trip to Rome only (1hr 45mins on Eurostar).

The closest airports with regular UK flights (and approximate driving times to Casa Lamponi) are Perugia (50mins) Bologna Forli (1hr 50mins)

Pisa (2hrs 30 mins), Rome or Bologna (both approx 2hrs 40mins).

Booking Details

HOW TO RESERVE YOUR HOLIDAY
Telephone us to insure that the accommodation is available for the dates you require. A provisional booking will then be held for 2 days pending receipt of your booking form and deposit payment. Complete the booking form with all available information, sign and forward it together with your deposit of 30% of the total property rental. Upon receipt of the above we will issue a Confirmation Invoice setting out details and full costs of your reservation as agreed. The balance of your booking cost will become payable 10 weeks prior to departure. Reservations made within 10 weeks of departure will require full payment at time of booking.
