Villa sastre is equipped with modern, effective air conditioning and central heating systems and is available for rent all year round.

The Villa is situated in a quiet residential area of the popular picturesque resort town of L'Escala in the Costa Brava.

There are 3 double bedrooms in the villa. The upstairs bedroom has a king size bed, its own independent air conditioning/heating system, a large built in wardrobe and direct access to the a huge terrace. One of the bathrooms is also upstairs as is access to another terrace area.

The two bedrooms downstairs have 2 single beds in each, they both have large built in wardrobes and one of these bedrooms has direct access to the outside decking area.

Also downstairs is a comfortable lounge with sky tv etc a modern kithen and a dining area.

Outside there are facilities for al fresco dining.

Notes on Rental price

The price you see is the price you pay - there are no additional charges whatsoever.

Long term rental of the villa is welcome.

Shorter stays may also be possible.

Payment can be made in £ sterling or in € euro's.

The villa is normally unavailable until 3pm on the day of your arrival as well as after 11am on the day of your departure; this is to allow sufficient time for cleaning and preparation of the villa for new guests. If this causes any major difficulties to you or your party get in touch with us, as alternative arrangements may be possible.

Change over day/Arrival/Departures

During July & August the changeover day is a Saturday.

During the rest of the year bookings may start on any day of the week.

Cleaning/Towels

The villa is cleaned weekly.

There is a change of linen/towel's weekly.

Bathrooms : There is a large modern bathroom with a toilet and separate bath and shower on the ground floor.

Upstairs there is a separate toilet with an enclosed shower cubicle.
Kitchen : There is a good sized modern kitchen with all the usual equipment including washing machine, fridge/freezer, oven, hob, grill, extractor and 2 sinks.
Living room : This tastefully furnished villa has seating for six people where you can relax with sky tv etc.
Dining room : There is a dining area for 6 people.

Nearby Activities

There are 3 quality golf courses within 30 minutes drive of the villa. All types of watersports icluding fishing, sailing and diving are popular in L'escala.

The local area is good for walking and cycling. There are tennis courts in the town and a go kart centre nearby and a few miles away there is a quad biking centre.

The Empuriabrava aerodrome is home of the Costa Brava Parachuting Centre, considered to be one of the world's leading centres.

In winter you can ski in the Pyrenees

Local information

For people who know Catalonia well, L'Escala is generally considered to be the best holiday resort in the Costa Brava. It is perfect for families and independent holidaymakers who want to avoid the mass-market package resorts. L'Escala has skillfully combined a traditional Spanish fishing town with holiday resort without becoming 'spoilt' and has created its own unique atmosphere.

The town is surrounded by blue flag beaches - the highest award possible in Spain. It also proudly boasts to have the first no smoking beach in Spain.

Travel distances

Barcelona is one and a half Hour's drive south of L'Escala. Girona is 40 minutes drive away.

Other places well worth a visit are Figueres (Salvador Dali's home town) 15 miles north of L'Escala and Roses about 20 minutes drive. Empuriabrava is the biggest marina in Europe is only 15 minutes drive.

The Medes Isles lie just off the coast of L'Estartit they are very popular with divers and are world renowned, for having a fantastic unique marine eco system in the surrounding waters.

Golf

The mild climate along the coastline allows golfers to practice their sport year-round with the average yearly temperature of 16'c.

The Costa Brava was voted the "Best Emerging Golf Destination Worldwide" by The Association of Golf Tour Operators. The courses are delightfully lush and green unlike some of the courses in the more dry and arid landscapes of southern Spain and Portugal. The leisurely pace of the surprisingly quiet courses here allow you to take in the exceptional views.

Skiing

Skiing in the Pyrenees is relatively cheap and the facilities and conditions are 1st class. The season runs from December to May and is widely regarded as having some of the best skiing in Europe and attracts demanding skiers year after year.

The excellent Vallter 2000 skiing resort in the Pyrenees is an easy one and a half hours drive from L'Escala, making a day out on the slopes a realistic possibility from the villa.
