Our apartment is in Playa Flamenca, 5 minutes drive from Torrevieja and its many sandy beaches, coves, top class golf courses and is within walking distance to a choice of bars, restaurants and shops.
Torrevieja is located south of Alicante next to the crystal clear waters of Spain's Costa Blanca and surrounded by two large natural saltwater lakes. It is 47 km from Alicante, the provisional capital, and 35 km form the airport "El Altet".
This region of Spain has an average of 320 sunny days per year and excellent all year round temperatures. Together with the inexpensive flights to either one of its airports, Alicante or Murcia, this area of Spain is fast becoming Europe?s most popular golfing and beach holiday destination. The attractive sea front is a string of secluded inlets, beaches of golden sand, well-cared for residential districts and two quiet marinas.
