Casa La Curra. This fully restored farmhouse is set high above the Costa del Sol, on a 3000 m2 plot of sloping olive groves and an unbeatable view of the Tejeda/Almijara mountains. Property sleeps 6, has a plunge pool and one of the best terraces in Andalucia :) The coast is 25 minutes away and Malaga airport is 1 hour.
To the left of the house you have the typical Spanish village of Alcaucin nestling in the mountain side and the 'Parque Natural de la Sierra de Tejeda y Almijara' with endless tracks and footpaths. In front you have views of the large Lake Vinuela, and behind the house you can see the impressive Boquete de Zafarraya pass giving access to Granada Province.
While in proximity to other homes and shops, Casa la Curra offers great sense of privacy

Change over day/Arrival/Departures

Bookings are normally Saturday to Saturday.
We ask guests to arrive after 3pm and to vacate the property by 11am on the day of departure
(unless otherwise agreed).
Flexible changeover days are possible.


Cleaning/Towels

Bed linen is included. The pool is cleaned weekly. Between rentals, we provide cleaning service, but we expect renters to leave the house in a decent condition!

Outside

The main terrace is shaded and runs the full length of the house, offering magnificent views of mountains in all directions. It has tables, chairs, barbecue and deck chairs. There are several other levels of terraces amongst which are planted a large variety of plants and trees. The swimming pool which measures 7m x 2m x 1.4m deep has a terrace for sunbathing. The 3000 square meter plot, all in front of the house, is planted with mainly olive trees.


Accommodation notes

Wood stove in living room can heat up kitchen and living room during winter.
Gas heaters are provided for bedrooms.
There is a ceiling fan in bedroom 1.


Travel distances

The nearest coastal resort, with sandy beaches and an abundance of bars, discos, restaurants and shops
to suit every taste and budget, is Torre del Mar, 25 minutes away

Travel:
Malaga airport is a 60 minute drive (70 km). Car rental is essential. Car hire is reasonably priced and easily available from the airport.


Wheelchair friendly

Bedroom 3, living room, kitchen and main terrace are wheelchair accessible.
In the course of the fall, the second terrace and the pool will also be made
wheelchair accessible, since our oldest son uses a wheelchair himself.
