Finca La Maroma is a reformed Andaluian farmhouse, 5kms from the village of Sedella, one of the delightful small white villages in rural Andalucia. The finca sits at around 425m above sea level on a small ridge above which, a short distance away, towers La Maroma, at 6,700ft the highest peak in the Sierra Tejeda mountain range. There are panoramic views towards the Sierra Tejeda-Almijara and the surrounding hills of the Axarquia.
Finca La Maroma offers truly relaxing holiday accommodation in six self-catering apartments for two. A cot is available and can be booked in connection with some of the apartments and one of the apartments has an additional sofa bed suitable for a child.
All the apartments have separate entrances and their private terrace.
The solar heated pool and the Jacuzzi are open throughout the year, a sauna is available during the cooler months at no extra cost.
A small on-site shop, two mountain bikes and the meditation cottage are available for our guests.

Accommodation details

Bedrooms : We offer six self-catering apartments for two people each, with either a double bed or two single beds. A cot is available and can be booked in connection with either double or twin apartment and one of the apartments has an additional sofa bed suitable for a child.
Bathrooms : The bathrooms feature showers and electric heaters. We provide towels but please bring your own beach towels if you plan to go to the beach.

Kitchen : The kitchens are well equipped with four-burner hob, small oven, double sink, spacious fridge with freezer compartment, toaster, coffee maker, kettle and all the utensils and crockery you will need. A welcome pack of groceries is included in the price of the apartment.

Solar heated pool ( 10x5m ) which is open all year round and illuminated in the evening in summer.
There is a Jacuzzi for three by the side of the pool.
A sauna is available in winter.
A short stroll down the hillside you will find our Yoga and meditation cottage which is available for our guests' use.

Accommodation notes

To make your stay at the finca as comfortable as possible, we provide you on arrival with a starter pack.
We request our guests not to smoke in the apartments.
Dogs are generally welcome but please mention these when booking. Due to the large number of people who are allergic to cat hair we unfortunately can't accommodate any cats.

Nearby Activities

The finca is the ideal location for those guests in search of peace and tranquility. There are numerous possibilities for walks and excursions by mountain bike. Horse riding is available nearby as are guided walks.
There is a water slide park in Velez-Malaga. This is normally open from June 15 until 15 September. The nearest beach is at Torre del Mar.

Local information

The finca is located in the countryside, which is farmed with mainly olives, almonds, carob and grapes, some 5km from the pretty and peaceful village of Sedella. The Sierra Tejeda - Almijara, to which the local mountain La Maroma belongs, is a nature reserve that offers many glimpses of mountain goats, vultures and eagles.
Finca La Maroma is the ideal base for your Andalucian walking holiday. The surrounding Sierra de Tejeda and Almijara provides everything from a country stroll to a full day mountain hike. Walk through ancient olive and lemon

Booking Details

Deposit is 20% at the time of booking, the remaining 80% to be paid on arrival or before. Should you have to cancel the reservation more than eight weeks before your holiday, 75% of the deposit are refundable. We regret that we cannot refund any part of the deposit after this.
