Local information

Has a range of small food shops, including small supermarkets. There are bakers, butchers, fruit & veg, banks, post office and also a weekly market. A number of bars and local restaurants serve typical Spanish food. At the coast there are large supermarkets and a shopping mal with a hypermarket. The mill is in a good location for walking and interesting drives. Within easy reach of El Torcal National Park, the caves at Nerja, a range of activities, including a water park at the coast.


Travel distances

Periana is 1.5 kilometres.
45 minutes drive to the coast at Torre del Mar, a typically Spanish coastal town with some excellent fish bars.
An hour to Nerja.
Malaga airport is approx. 1 hours drive.
Granada and the Alhambra are 1.5 hours drive.
Seville is 2 hours drive
Sierra Nevada about 1.5hrs.
Driving time from Santander, after ferry crossing from Plymouth is approx. 12 hours.
Use of a car is essential.
