Our ground floor holiday apartment, at Las Brisas in Puerto de Mazarron, has a large lounge with sliding patio doors leading to the front terrace which enjoys uninterrupted hill and mountain views. The terrace is the perfect place for enjoying evening cocktails whilst watching the sun go down over the hills.

The apartment is a short walk from Puerto?s largest shopping centre which offers 3 supermarkets, bars, restaurants, banks, beauty salon and a selection of smaller shopping outlets. The large Sunday market is just below the apartments and the town centre, new marina, shops, covered fish and fruit market, seafront paseo and beaches are half a kilometre from the apartment.

Puerto has several beaches, some of blue flag standard.

Bathrooms : 1 bathroom with full size bath, bidet and wc. Bath has shower attachment and glazed side shower panel.
Kitchen : Fully equipped modern kitchen with high quality selection of crockery, cutlery and utensils.
Living room : Lounge has 3 seater sofa, dining table with 4 chairs, satellite television and a DVD player with a selection of DVDs and CDs

Facilities provided

Satellite television with English and Spanish channels, DVD player, full oven, ceramic 4 ring hob, granite worktops, extractor, washing machine, iron, clothes airer, ironing board, fridge freezer, microwave, toaster and kettle.

Outside

Outdoor table and chairs are provided for use on the patio. You will need to bring your own pool and beach towels, as ours are for indoor use only.

Accommodation notes

The apartment has fixed wall panel heaters for the winter months and ceiling and free standing fans for summer use.
Rental of a portable air conditioning unit can be arranged, though the apartment is on a corner and so benefits from front and side windows.

Nearby Activities

Puerto has a range of restaurants, tapas bars, entertainment bars, cultural activities including an open air summer cinema, indoor and outdoor sports facilities including ten pin bowling, sports hall, kart track, gymnasium etc.) plus nearby national parks, museums and natural thermal springs.

The local council regularly provides free beach concerts and has theme beaches to provide a variety of free sports and relaxation facilities for all ages - even designated nudist beaches.

Local information

Puerto de Mazarron, on the Costa Calida (warm coast) has some of Spain?s best sunshine and warm winters, with an average 300 sunny days a year. The Blue Flag sandy beaches, where you can swim, snorkel, dive, fish or relax under the Spanish sun, are rarely crowded. The Spanish holiday here, enjoying the beautiful unspoilt, diverse countryside and high standard of facilities.

Travel distances

1 hour drive from Alicante airport.

45 minutes drive from Murcia San Javier airport, though a new mortorway should be open in spring 2007, making the journey shorter and quicker.

Golf

The nearest 18 hole golf course is about 8km from the apartment, at Camposol Golf. The Hacienda del Alamo 18 hole course is further inland, about 15 minutes drive from the apartment.

Special interest

Mazarron is surrounded by hills and national parks, making the area popular with walkers, painters, nature lovers etc.
The Puerto de Mazarron tourist office has booklets giving a selection of walks and also organizes free day and evening guided walks to suit all levels of fitness.
