Casa Kernow is a south facing villa, located centrally for the whole holiday island of Lanzarote in the Canary Islands. It is a large original Canarian house with 4 very individual and spacious apartments, private heated pool and sea views. The property occupies a large plot with shady terraces, large heated pool and tropical gardens.

Notes on Rental price

We charge the same all year round, except Christmas (18 Dec - 8 Jan 2009).
Longer winter lets subject to negotiation and availability.

Change over day/Arrival/Departures

Change over day is Thursday.
Departure by 10.00 am.
Arrival after 2.00 pm
In exceptional circumstances we can change over on another day

Cleaning/Towels

Linen and towels are supplied (Except beach and pool towels)

Cleaning and bed changes are weekly.

Accommodation details

Bedrooms : Two of the apartments are 1 bedroom and two are 2 bedroom and all are south facing.

All apartments have outside table and chairs for Al Fresco dining. All apartments are supplied by large water heaters ensuring plentiful hot water. We supply fans for exceptional hot weather but the accommodation is cool and airy. There are supplies of books, magazines, video library and children's books and games.

Outside

The grounds have ample sun-beds, chairs, tables and a barbeque area. There is a laundry room with washing machine, essential to avoid that awful holiday hand washing. There is also a large area for car parking.
The pool area is enclosed by a high wall and gates, making it safe for young children and the sun bathing are surrounding the pool is very spacious with two large umbrellas for shade.
Within the gardens are papaya, mandarin, lemon, apricot, fig, banana, mango, tangerine and pomegranite trees.

Accommodation notes

In the winter we use summer weight duvets and blankets are available if needed

Tennis:
There are tennis courts that can be booked at Fariones and San Antonio, all 5-10 minutes away from Casa Kernow.Scuba diving is available within easy distance.Horse riding near Puerto Calero. Sailing also at Puerto Calero. Indeed all sports can be enjoyed from centrally located Casa Kernow.

Local information

Casa Kernow is perfectly situated for visiting the wondeful attractions that Lanzarote has to offer. The Fire Mountains of Timanfaya, Mirador del Rio, El Golfo, Los Hervideros, Jameos del Agua, Jardin de Cactus, Cueva de los Verdes Fundacion Cesar Manrique The Aquapark and Rancho Texas are all easily accessed from Casa Kernow. The owners live onsite, so lots of advice about the island, its restaurants, places of interest, best beaches and value for money shops is available.

Travel distances

Arrife Town: 5-minutes drive.
Playa Honda Beach: 5-minutes drive.
Major beaches: 10 to 15-minutes drive

Car hire is considered essential and we get great discounts for our guests.
We will pick up guests from the airport if required.

Golf

There is a Golf Course 15-minutes drive away at Costa Tequise and 2 new ones proposed, one of which is under construction 5-minutes drive away at Puerta del Carmen, the other to be at Playa Blanca 20 minutes away.

Bookings are accepted with 100 GBP non-refundable deposit.
The balance due 8 weeks before the holiday.
Apartments will be held for 7 days while flights are arranged.
