FLORIDA: When to visit - To avoid adverse crowds on your Florida vacation, beware of peak seasons. During certain high-volume months and especially on holidays – theme park, hotel and restaurant capacity, as well as heavy traffic, can delay you and your family’s activities. In the southern region of the state, winter is peak season. In the northern region, where temperatures are less extreme, the summer is peak. Of course, holidays are the most crowded in any tourist area, with theme parks and beaches at full capacity. The time to travel in Florida is the in-between months – April and May, September through mid-November. Temperatures tend to be more manageable, as well as prices. January to March is a good time to come when you can expect the temperature highs to be in the mid-70s. Remember that Florida is one of the country’s most popular destinations so always book early no matter what time of year.
Downtowns - Family adventures are right around the corner in Florida’s downtowns, where some of the best museums and interactive science centres are located. One-of-a-kind boutiques, shops, galleries, restaurants and more line the streets. Beaches, zoos, aquariums and theme parks are just minutes from Florida’s downtowns and small towns– making them the perfect starting point for your next Florida escape. Central Florida - Stretches from the oak-lined horse farms of Marion County, to one the top tourist destinations in the world - Orlando - to the fragrant orange groves of Polk County. Home to perhaps the most famous mouse on the planet, as well as the largest sand pine forest in the world, Central Florida is a thrilling combination of modern man-made attractions and centuries-old natural beauty. South East Florida - The chic elegance of Palm Beach and the pulsating rhythms of Miami's South Beach are more than enough to keep most vacationers deliriously and delightfully entertained. Add the grassy vastness of the Everglades and the coral majesty of the Florida Keys -- the result is a miracle of diversity and a vacation treasure unlike any other.
